Bites are dangerous and can cause serious illness or death. The venom appears to particularly affect primates (ie humans), whereas other mammals - such as cats and dogs - are relatively resistant. The one pictured, now resides at the Australian Reptile Park where it's milked for venom to be used in Antivenom production.
